Residents and visitors alike get to enjoy the city's many brewpubs, cafes, art studios, and craft stores. The Church Street Marketplace is especially popular, being the busiest pedestrian strip in town. Burlington's market is home to as many as one hundred different vendors. These vendors offer fresh farm produce, dairy products, and other organic, sustainable foods. These farms also follow strict GMO labeling laws, so you'll always know what you are buying.

Many of these scenic areas can be found in the "Green Mountains", for which the state is nick-named. As green as these mountains truly are, they truly light up come autumn. Reds, oranges, yellows, browns and more. Fall Foliage Festivals are common and are enjoyable for visitors and locals alike. Come winter time, the mountains are often covered in snow. There are many mountains that are great for skiing and other winter activities. There is the aptly named Mount Snow, as well as Stratton, Killington, Sugarbush, Stowe and many more.
If anything is more common than beautiful mountains, it might be the covered bridges. There are over a hundred of them in Vermont. The picturesque bridges themselves make for good photo opportunities. It's all the better when they set against the backdrop of the mountains. The Windsor-Cornish bridge is definitely worth a visit and drive, being the largest covered single span bridge in America. Another great drive is down the scenic Route 30, which will take you through several covered bridges and through the beautiful countryside.
