The Myriad Botanical Gardens is not far from Crystal Bridge. Spread across 17 acres, there's plenty of room for larger gatherings here including weddings and concerts. The Festival of the Arts is also held here.
Oklahoma City also has one of the best zoos in the country. It is consistently ranked within the top 10, with the elephant habitat being the most popular exhibit. Just east of downtown is Bricktown which is an old abandoned warehouse district that is the heart of OKC. Aptly named after its distinguished red brick buildings, here you'll find all kinds of dining options, nightlife, and shopping.
For a little more thrill, check out the Western themed Frontier City amusement park where you can find fun for the entire family including roller coaster rides, concerts, shopping, and food.
On warmer days visit the White Water Bay water park. Stretching over a massive 25 acres, the park has over a dozen attractions, such as an artificial beach, a wave pool, and even "dive-in" movies on some nights.
Of course, floating down the canal is another popular option to stay cool. The canal runs along many restaurants and bars frequented by tourists and locals alike.
