It's also one of the most safest places to live behind only Maine and Vermont - its closet neighbors! WeatherManchester is an ideal place to be in the fall. A few popular spots to enjoy the spectacular views are Miller State Park, Pack Monadnock Mountain, and Dublin Lake. In the winter, Manchester receives around 60" of snow. The amount of snowfall makes for some great skiing. The McIntyre Ski Area, located on the north side of town, is a popular skiing destination. In addition to skiing, you can also find great spots for tubing and snowboarding. Just keep in mind that you only have about 5 hours to enjoy it during the day as the winter days are very short in Manchester. Farmers MarketDuring the warmer months of June through October, the Manchester Farmers Market features over 25 vendors offering a variety of meat, produce, flowers, and baked foods. ShoppingTo find everything else you might need, try South Willow Street or the Mall of New Hampshire, depending on if you're looking for charming boutique shops or the big name stores. Perhaps the best part of shopping in New Hampshire is that there's no sales tax. People come from all the neighboring states to take advantage of this.
